Silver Base Group Holdings Limited (with its subsidiaries, collectively “Silver Base Group”) was incorporated in the Cayman Islands on 12 September 2007 and was listed on the main board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on 8 April 2009 (Stock code: 886).
Silver Base Group is a leading operator of alcoholic beverages in the PRC and the international markets. With its devoted efforts in the last decade, it has developed a well-established distribution network with excellent channel management. The Group, through its five type channels, i.e. Supermarkets, Hotel & Restaurants, Liquor & Cigarette Specialty Stores, Group Purchase, and Entertainments, has been successful in distributing a number of premium liquors, including Wuliangye Liquor Series, a renowned traditional premium Chinese baijiu. According to the China Brand Value Report issued by Beijing Brandname Appraisals Limited in 2009, Wuliangye has been ranked the most valuable brand for 15 consecutive years in the Chinese food and beverage industry. The Group has established long-standing relationship with the Wuliangye Group for more than 10 years, and has been the largest distributor for Wuliangye in the worldwide market since 2000. In March 2010, the Group won a worldwide 15-year exclusive distribution right of Yongfu Jiangjiu, a soy flavor baijiu, which took Wuliangye Group almost ten years to develop and produce. In the same period, the Group also won a 10-year exclusive distribution rights in China of Guojiao 1573 series baijiu (with 43% alcohol content) from Luzhou Lao Jiao, another Chinese premium liquor producer.
Silver Base Group diversified into wine business in last quarter of 2009 offering different labels of premium and fine wines from countries such as Argentina, Australia, Chile, France, Greece, Italy, New Zealand and Portugal. The Group also distributes Dimple Scotch Whisky Series - Dimple 12-year, Dimple 15-year, and Dimple 18-year; and various Chinese cigarette brands including the Hongtashan Premium Series.
Going forward, the Group will further expand, enhance and provide extra support to its existing distribution channels by continuously opening new image stores in major cities in the Greater China region. Furthermore, the Group will further source additional premium liquors and fine wines from different countries and diversify its portfolio to include other beverage products, leveraging on its well-established distribution network and channel management in China.
